Nexus Primary Care Clinic opened its doors in 2020, emerging as one of the first Nurse Practitioner-led primary care clinics in British Columbia, alongside just a handful of others established during that same period.

 

We opened against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic, which meant adapting quickly to increased clinical needs and unique operational challenges from day one. Despite these circumstances, the clinic was warmly received by the community. Countless patients expressed heartfelt gratitude simply for having a place to turn to during such an uncertain time, especially given the significant attachment gap that existed—and continues to exist—across the province. That early response affirmed the value of Nurse Practitioner-led care and shaped the foundation our clinic continues to build on today.
